Spring Hill Plantation Venue Information

 

 

This venue features a nice grassy pasture for camping immediately off blacktop road, grass tracks, woods trails, cool obstacles, and more!

New for 2010:
5 Trophies given out in each class, Wider gate entrance/20 yards of dirt added/gravel added, course direction changed so the slick section of trail near creek is not at the beginning, new deeper swimming hole found with sandy bank

Spring Hill Plantation attracted the largest crowd in '09!
 & good bicycle jump, new obstacles, longer Big/Kids Women's Course, practice on Saturday afternoon on portion of the race course for $10, Pit Bike race Saturday afternoon after practice, free 1-mile "jetting loop" on campground side of blacktop, etc.

-No campfires (believe it or not, we still have to say this in August)
- Everyone stay in the designated campground and don't wonder around.
- No fishing or swimming in the big pond down the road (see note above).
- PLEASE pick up your trash and bring it home with you after the event.

Hotel Info (pool, high speed internet, pets allowed, etc.)  Ask for the LA Cross-Country Series rate of $80 + tax per room.


One of the optional obstacles might possibly be cable spools

somewhat buried...in case you want to practice at home - they're usually free (no practicing on the obstacles Saturday).

 

 

If traveling North from Baton Rouge & looking for one final fuel/ice stop there is a Texaco at the corner of Hwy 10 and Hwy 19 just South of Wilson.

Also, the FS Williams General Store is on the right on Hwy 19 about 100 yards south of the intersection with Hwy 10. It's a third generation family run operation, very friendly place, and an interesting stop - gas, groceries, clothing, guns, etc. Closes at 5pm.
