The final round of our 2013 series took place at the Piney Woods Showdown where a lot of championships were decided for the year. Our weekend started out a little rough on Saturday with the steady light rain. Sunday was great the sun came out and the ground conditions got amazing. This was by far one of our best courses of the year, Tim Higgins (land owner) along with a lot of volunteers from LACC spent a lot of time cutting the trails by hand.

Between Forrest Smith
(A-1 Vacuum) and Jason Harvey (MTA, Dunlop, Acerbis, Rekluse, Xbrand Goggles, Tubliss, Cycle Gear, Raceworks and most important my wife for her continuous support)
It was a winner take all race, whoever won, won the championship. Forrest got the holeshot and checked out on the first lap taking the victory. Harvey put in a great ride and closed the gap down to 30 seconds by the end of the race finishing a solid second overall. Stephen Reed road solid with no mistakes making it on the podium for the first time in 2013. Bryan Vaughan (Rekluse,Donnie@Graham KTM, Dunlop, Vertex, Shoei) finished a solid 4th overall in the race which secured him 4th overall for the year. Daltyn Kennedy (Transmissions inc, New talent Generation, Smith, Alias, Dad, Mom and John Moeller) worked his way up from the second row in XC2 to a fifth overall.

Clint Woods had a great battle most of the race with Kelly Crenshaw. Clint finished 2nd in XC2 for the day, and won the 2013 XC2 Championship.

Gregg Kirk dominated the Senior B class winning the last round to secure his championship for 2013.

Jesse Whittington had one his better rides winning the Beginner Lites class. He also took home $100 cash from the Transmissions inc drawing.

We had some great battles in the UTV class, it seems to be growing every race.

Jared Foster had a come from behind victory in the ATV OPEN class.
