Carencro, LA

The high lighted sponsors for this race was Deb's Prints, KTM, and Outofboundfilms. We were originally suppose to race in Ruston, LA at Dirt Slingers MX. Since they received a large amount of rain earlier in the week and because its late in the year, we needed to have this race soon.  So we moved the location to Van Ways Moto playground in Carencro, LA.   The ground conditions were close to perfect. Until halfway threw the main event, when it decided to rain for 20 minutes and make the ground extremely slick. Overall it was a great way to end the year! We had some great battles that determined year end championships, it came down to the last turn.

Top three Overall

Josh Weisenfels 1st Overall

Jake Haddox 5th Overall

Forrest Smith (Fly Racing, WPS, Yamaha) pulled the holeshot, with Josh Weisenfels making the move to the front quickly.  Weisenfels never looked back taking the overall win and the $100 fast lap award provided by Transmissions Inc. Forrest Smith rode a smooth and smart race knowing  that he didn't have to win the race to win the championship.  Smith took 2nd overall for the day and 1st overall for the 2012 season. Bryan Vaughan (Asterisk, Rekluse, Dunlop, ims, Graham KTM) also rode a smart race taking 3rd overall for the day and 2nd overall for the 2012 season. Hutton Woods (Woods tank, Mikes Cycle, KTM) rode a great race putting in a solid 4th overall for the day and securing 3rd overall for the 2012 season. Jake Haddox (KTM) who finished 3rd overall in the 2011 season took a break in 2012. Haddox decided to race the last race of 2012 running his number 3 plate, resulting in an impressive 5th overall.

              Corey Altazin 1st XC2            Clint Woods 2nd XC2

The XC2 Class Championship came down to the last race of the season with Corey Altazin (Fly Racing, WPS, KTM) and Clint Woods (Woods Tank, Mikes cycle, KTM).

The race started off with Corey getting the holeshot and Clint right on his back tire. Corey pulled an early lead with Clint closing in on him as the race came to an end. Corey took the inside to the left hand turn before the woops with Clint going wide, as they entered the woops Corey maybe had a half a bike length on Clint going threw the woops. Coming into the last turn before the scoring tent Corey held onto the lead taking the win and 1st Overall in XC2 for the 2012 season. Clint gave it everything he had taking a solid 2nd overall in XC2 for 2012 season. Lance Ford (Yamaha) rode a great race taking 3rd for the day and 3rd Overall in XC2 for 2012 Season.

We had a pit bike race on Saturday afternoon. Dillon VanWay and Forrest Smith battled until the last strait away. Dillon lead the most of the race until the last turn before the woops when he made a slight bobble. This allowed  Forrest to make the pass threw the woops and take the win. It looked like they were having fun with Dillon doing NacNacs and CanCans over the double jump. We like to give a big thanks to Mr. Chris VanWay for allowing us to have our make up race on his property with a short notice.
