NEW REQUIREMENT ATTENTION LACC Parents of children under 18 years old:

New annual REQUIREMENT that BOTH parents must sign THIS MINORS RELEASE before the minor is allowed to race their first event in 2012.  Both parents must sign (even if living in different houses) and then as usual at least one guardian must accompany the child at the event.

This is also on the Schedule Page. Simply print, sign, have your spouse sign, and bring to the 1st event you attend.

Friday Flashback:  Back in 2009 we made our first stop at Leesville Motorsports Park and Stephen Reed took the Overall and XC1 class win on a Suzuki RM250 followed by Stephen Sturges (KTM) 2nd XC1 and Kevin Hutchinson (KAW) in third.  You'll have to watch the video below to see a podium picture.

Here's a brief preview of the FUN coming up at Rnd 1 of the 2012 LACC Series.  Top area mx racer Adam Cedillo from Ville Platte, LA and bonus point worker Rodney Jones (& another unknown rider) were riding late afternoon so out came the cell phone camera...as you'll see we made some new trail sections and the mx track #2 in dirt pit was slowed down...no more turning the two small tabletops into one big double (as shown by Trampas Parker at the beginning of this 2011 video with 775 views!)

Fahringer Husaberg's Nick Fahringer (left) and Mike Lafferty (below) are ready for the Nat'l Enduro Round 1 in South Carolina this weekend!
Fahringer now with Moose.

Thanks to Jim Barrett in South Louisiana for passing this on.  The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is in deep trouble. Originally known as the Symm's Act, the RTP has been a major, often single source of motorized trail funding in Louisiana and across the nation. If you ride on a public trail in Louisiana it has been funded by RTP. Without future funding existing trails will not be maintained and future trails not constructed. Survival of RTP is vital to our recreation. RTP funding ceases March 31, 2012. Please don't put this aside. RTP will be saved by a grass root effort of all trail enthusiasts. Please see this Press Release.

Transworld Motocross:
"We’re only four short weeks away from the beginning of the East Coast Lites series in Dallas, Texas, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Darryn Durham is ready to get back into racing. This week, Thor Theater caught up with Durham as he pounded out some laps on the all-new Lucas Oil MX Park’s Supercross track."

TORO Round 5 Highlights by SeatTime!

Winner: Cameron Ishmael

Monster Energy Kawasaki / Moose Racing's Bobby Garrison just barely missed the podium at Glen Helen (WORCS Round 1) finishing in 4th Overall.

"I got off to a great start and starting pushing hard to stay with Taylor (Robert),” said Garrison. “I tried to sprint with him but couldn’t quite run his pace and I started to tighten up. I’ve been feeling really sick all day, but I’m happy with my finish and just really excited to be part of the team."

RV1 Supercross Round 4 in Oakland, CA this weekend!

Our prediction is #1 Ryan Villopoto will finally stay out of trouble and get the win.  He's been having the fastest lap times, just needs to get past some bad luck.

"Vurbmoto teamed up with Skullcandy and headed out to the legendary Castillo Ranch in Central California to spend the day hanging out and filming with Chad Reed and Dean Wilson. This is what we saw."
Watch in HD!

If you listen at the end sounds like more coming this summer.

Top Selected Ironman: Stephen Sturges!

Beebe, Harvey, and Haddox had an amazing year and finished in the top 3 overall in the 2011 LACC Series Championship.  They are obviously fast but also ride smart and consistent.  Top XC1 racer Stephen Sturges is an Ironman Vet having finished on the podium twice at the 24 Hr. Challenge and has been competing in it since '08.  His most recent result in 2011 was 2nd Overall!  Beebe, Haddox, and Sturges participated in the inaugural Off-Road Cup event so know what to expect.  All of these racers are in very good shape and we are looking forward to seeing them push the limits for 9 hours straight!!  We are definitely proud to have them represent the LACC Series and can't wait to have some fun at Golden Pine Raceway February 25th, 2012!  Click on pictures below to see these talented guys in action (action shots by Shows and Carter).
