The sponsors for this race were API and Evangeline Specialties. The course turned out really nice, ground conditions were nearly perfect. We had lots of jeep trails with rolling hills with some nice new single track sections that we added in. The peewee course was totally new with some nice single track and open sections. We also had a UTV trail that turned out really cool.

Once again Forrest Smith (YAM/Fly/Bayou Suspension) nailed the hole shot in the XC1 class on his Yamaha YZ250 rocket ship. Howell followed right behind as they went threw the obstacles and they battled most of the race with Howell pulling away at the end. Unfortunately Howell made a mistake in the obstacles and didn't get scored, making everyone move up a position. Smith put in a strong ride and got 1st overall with Hutton Woods(Mikes Cycle, Woods Tank) getting closer and closer to a win with 2nd overall.  Bryan Vaughan (Donnie at Graham KTM, Rekluse, Dunlop, Asterisk, DP Brakes) staying consistent with rounding out the top three. Kevin Hutchinson and Kelly Crinshaw round out the top 5.

Lance Ford put in an impressive ride and got his first ever win in the XC2 class. Followed by Corey Altazin (KTM/Fly/WPS) who got urned around in one of the sections on the trail that cost him some valuable time and John Beauchamp put in a solid ride to round out the top three. We also had a big turn out for the vintage race it was cool to see how it was done in the old days.

The Acadiana Racing crew would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Kirwinn Ross owner of Springhill Plantation for helping prepare the course and allow us to race on his property, and to everyone who came out to support the series if it wasn't for yall this series would not exist.  As always check our homepage often for links to photos, videos, and more.
