New Ownership of Acadiana Racing LLC
Ryan and Katie Breaux of Rayne, LA have
acquired Acadiana Racing LLC from Lucas and Jenny Comeaux.
The purchase includes the Louisiana Cross-Country Series,
the website www.AcadianaRacing.com, and everything else
associated with the company.
The upcoming LACC Round 5, Juderman’s Park, will still be
run by the Comeaux’s and then the ownership transition will take
place over the summer break.
Outgoing owners will still be assisting behind the scenes
for a period of time after Round 5 to ensure a smooth
transition.
“When Jenny and I created this side hobby business several years
ago we never imagined it would be this successful.” said
Lucas Comeaux, outgoing company president.
“I can’t thank everyone
enough for helping out so much along the way.
My loving wife, our awesome family members, title sponsor
MTA, all of the core sponsors, website viewers, land-owners,
event participants, volunteer staff, and talented media folks
have helped with the success tremendously and we are very
grateful. Our two
oldest children are currently having a ball in the LACC Beginner
PeeWee class and I’m looking forward to being able to race again
myself on the new 2012 GasGas XC300.
Having run a series like this for a few years gives a new
appreciation for being able to show up to an event and just have
FUN!”
Jenny Comeaux added,
“The Breaux’s have been
to every round since day 1 in 2009, are very familiar with the
format, and are enthusiastic about taking this on.
We are confident that they will continue to provide
excellent promotion of the sport in Louisiana for many years to
come. Lucas and I
would like to give a very special thanks to our family members
Bruce, Donna, Reese, and Mandy for all of their generous
support.”
Through a main goal of promoting the sport
in general, the LACC Series has quickly grown into one of the
most exciting and well-attended regional race series in the
country. This year
in 2012 over sixty thousand dollars is up for grabs in cash and
bike manufacturer contingency programs from Transmissions Inc.,
Honda, KTM, and Husqvarna.
The AcadianaRacing.com website featuring daily news
updates has landed over 175,000 distinct viewers since it’s
creation and is currently averaging around 1,500 pages viewed
per day.
